Distribution of medical training posts
The College is aware of current uncertainty regarding the Distribution of Speciality Posts and would like to provide reassurance to all resident doctors that proposed changes will be phased and will not affect any resident doctors in higher training.
We appreciate that resident doctors in core training may already be thinking about their higher specialty training, and we recognise that the limited information that is available is leading to concerns. National Strategies are ongoing to ensure training posts are created in areas where they are needed, rather than being taken away/moved from other areas and as soon as we have more information, we will share this.
