Dr Nicoletta Adamo is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London. She also works as an honorary Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in the specialist service for children with Autism and complex neurodevelopmental disorders (SCAAND), at The Maudsley Hospital.

She holds a PhD from King’s College London and has published extensively on the clinical and pharmacological management of ADHD and on the overlap between neurodevelopmental conditions.

Dr Rachel Kent is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in assessment and formulation of co-occurring mental health conditions in neurodivergent children and young people. As Principal Psychologist at SCAAND at The Maudsley Hospital, she provides complex neurodevelopmental assessments and adapted psychological interventions for individuals and families.

Her research focuses on creating and adapting interventions to support wellbeing in neurodivergent young people. Dr Kent completed her PhD at the Wales Autism Research Centre (Cardiff University) and post-doctoral research at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, King's College London, before training in Clinical Psychology at IoPPN, KCL.

Dr James Gilsenan is a Senior Educational Psychologist working across SCAAND and the Autism and Intellectual Disability Intensive Intervention Team (AID-IIT) within The Maudsley Hospital. He holds the role of Specialist Autism Education Lead, seconded from the National Autistic Society (NAS).

James has experience working within a range of different school and community settings to provide support and guidance around children’s learning and development. He has a particular interest in the role of neurodiversity and adverse life experiences in children’s educational outcomes, and the types of interventions and support that promote positive change in these areas.

James previously worked within a Local Authority context, most recently in a specialist role involving supporting the educational inclusion of children in foster care.

Dr Andrew McWilliams (Chair) is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at the Royal Free London Neurodevelopmental CAMHS service and an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King's College London.

He completed his PhD jointly at the IoPPN and at the Wellcome centre for Human Neuroimaging, 12 Queen Square University College London, where he used Bayesian modelling approaches to study questions at the interface of the law (decision-making capacity) and cognitive science (metacognition).

He was awarded the 黄色仓库 Neuropsychiatry Faculty Research Prize 2024 and he has a longstanding interest in arts and health.
