Event Information

The Faculty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry would like to receive your symposium and session ideas and now invites submissions for our Annual Conference on 17-18 September 2026 in London. Successful applications will then be invited to deliver a session during the conference, and you would need to attend in-person in London. 

Guidance:
Suggest a topic and describe your Symposium or Session idea
  • The abstract should not exceed 250 words
  • Symposiums will be up to 1 hour and 30 minutes in length and should have 3 or 4 speakers. Please note that a maximum of presenters per symposium will be given a complimentary conference place per symposium for the day of the talk. Additional presenters will need to register and pay to attend.
  • Sessions may be shorter in length, and a maximum of 2 presenters per session will be given a complimentary conference place per session for the day of the talk. Additional presenters will need to register and pay to attend.

The 黄色仓库 Faculty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is inviting poster submissions for our conference in September 2026 in London. All submissions will be reviewed ahead of the conference and successful authors will then be invited to have their poster displayed as a poster. 

Regulations:
1. Abstracts must be in English. Abbreviations may be used only if they are defined (spelled out in full text at first mention) followed by abbreviation in brackets.
2. The abstract must not exceed 250 words including sub titles (see No 4) and formulas.
3. The abstract must not contain bibliographical references, tables, diagrams or appendices. If accepted for presentation at the conference these can be added at a later date.
4. Abstracts must be presented in five headed paragraphs in the following order:
Aims and hypothesis, Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
5. Abstracts could present either novel findings or new interpretations of existing data; Quality Improvement
projects; Education and Training projects or other types of service evaluation, audit or case reports. They should include brief details of the rationale for the research and the methods used, including, if appropriate, the statistical approach. The major findings should be stated; it will not be acceptable, for example, to state merely that the "results will be discussed"
6. The title of the abstract must be clearly coherent with the data included in the abstract and the conclusions must be warranted by information included in the results section.  Submissions are accepted on the understanding that the work has been performed with the permission of any relevant ethical or legislative body. The authors should therefore ensure the work was conducted with appropriate ethical and governance safeguards.
7. Authors are encouraged to state their hypotheses and frame their conclusions accordingly.
8. For studies of service users, patients or populations, the number of people studied should be explicitly stated in the methods section.
9. Submissions are accepted on the understanding that the work has been performed with the permission of any relevant ethical or legislative body. The authors should therefore ensure the work was conducted with appropriate ethical and governance safeguards.
10. All sources of financial sponsorship of the study should be stated at the end of the abstract.

Catering

Tea and coffee will be provided during the morning and afternoon breaks and a fork buffet lunch will be served during the lunch hour.

If you have any dietary requirements please let the event team know.

Getting around the venue

Please  to help you familiarise yourself with the layout. There is a cloakroom on the ground floor. Each floor can be accessed via one of our three lifts.

Parking

There is one disabled parking bay at the rear of the building in Yeoman's Yard, off Chamber Street which runs parallel to Prescot Street and can be accessed via Leman Street or Mansell Street. We understand that disability is not always simple and you will not need a Blue Badge to qualify to use our onsite parking space. This bay must be booked in advance by contacting your events manager or events administrator.

Toilets

Toilets can be found on all floors

  • Lower ground floor - we have four gender neutral toilets, one toilet with a parent changing area. There is one accessible toilet with a shower
  • Ground floor - we have five gender neutral toilets and one accessible toilet
  • First floor - we have single sex toilets on this floor

Multi-faith room

This is located in the members lounge on the ground floor 

Quiet space

We will have a dedicated quiet room available at the College that you are welcome to use at any point during the conference.

Please do not use this room for private meetings, this space is intended to provide a calm environment for delegates who might need to remove themself from the busyness of Congress. If you require a private meeting space, please visit the help desk and we'll be able to tell what rooms are available.

Visual impairment

Please let the events team know if you require printed events materials and let them know in advance if you will be supported by a guide dog, assistance animal or emotional support animal.

Hearing impairment 

A hearing loop is available on request. Please contact you events manager or event administrator if you have any additional requirements.
