Event Information
Programme
The programme includes updates on national accreditation and service developments, and a session exploring current and future approaches to dementia treatment. It will also feature talks on psychiatric genetics, dedicated research and poster slots, SAERS, and will conclude with a debate on the future direction of General Adult Psychiatry.
Call for abstracts
Oral presentations
We would like to invite Resident Doctors to be part of the programme by delivering a 10-minute presentation on a topic related to psychiatry in Scotland. This could involve an audit, research, or a general project.
If you would like to be considered please send your abstract on the attached form to Angela Currie ( angela.currie@rcpsych.ac.uk) by Friday, 27 February 2026 at 5pm (closing date)
Two presentations will be selected for inclusion in the conference programme, and the delegate fee for those selected presenters will be waived.
Poster presentations (rapid fire)
We would also like to invite abstracts from our Resident Doctors which will be presented both a poster and orally (5-minutes) on a topic related to psychiatry in Scotland. This could involve an audit, research, or a general project.
Please note that, unfortunately, we cannot offer a free place at the conference for presenters.
If you would like to be considered, please read our Call for Posters guidance and send your Poster Abstract using this form to Angela Currie by 5pm on Friday, 27 February 2026.
The best presentation will be awarded ?100.
